1-on-1 therapy for adults

I try to understand my clients on their terms first. Together, we will feel what’s on the surface, unravel root sources, and create steps in the direction of your choosing.

Through the course of our therapy sessions, some things I may try to learn about you:

  • What do you value and care about?
  • Where do you feel like you are at right now?
  • What edges would you like to grow towards?
  • What edges have you been learning about already?
  • What does growth mean or feel like to you?
  • What does healing mean or feel like to you?
  • What actions, communities, thought patterns have you found supportive already? Which have not been supportive?
  • What aspects or experiences in yourself are you wanting more support for?

We can explore these questions through talk or art-making.

Existential & systems work

As we build our therapeutic relationship, if it is useful for you, I might invite questions that help us explore how external systems, structures, and expectations may be influencing us or limiting our growth to help us recognize and resist the ways systemic oppression impacts our mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.

  • how are perfectionism, individualism, urgency, defensiveness, or either/or thinking connected to systems of power?
  • how do these systems create unnecessary pressure on us and those around us to fuel trauma or traumatic conflict, or limit our capacity to engage in useful conflict?
  • how have we already learned to resist or overcome aspects of these systems?
  • what power do we have as individuals? As collectives? how can we build out individual and collective power?

Rates

For adults living in Ontario, I offer virtual 1-on-1 therapy in 60 minute or 90 minute long sessions.

  • The rate for a 60 minute session is $90.
  • The rate for a 90 minute session is $125.

FAQs

What happens after I reach out?
  1. Free 20-minute Consultation: We will schedule a 20-minute consultation to get to know each other briefly and both decide if we would be a good fit.
  2. Initial Session: Our initial session will include reviewing Consent and Confidenitiality, and I will get the chance to know you, your needs, and any therapeutic goals you may have.
How does payment work?

Currently, I accept payment by e-transfer. I will provide you with an invoice and then a receipt of payment once fulfilled.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

If you think you will miss a session, try to let me know as early as possible. If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, a 25$ fee will apply.
